Black Music Action Coalition, Student Freedom Initiative, and Live Nation Urban present a collaboration between the BMAC LIVE Accelerator Program and HBCU AwareFest

  • This program will provide 15 aspiring live music industry professionals from the Atlanta HBCU community with a paid educational and interactive experience in the live music business

  • ​A select group of rising changemakers from Atlanta-based HBCU’s will participate in the inaugural BMAC LIVE X HBCU AwareFest cohort in Atlanta, GA March 19-26, 2026.

  • Participants will engage in educational sessions (both virtual and in-person) and work in paid roles on the festival’s production team. Participants will gain hands-on experience across one of these core areas of live entertainment, including:

  • Concert Marketing

  • Event and Venue Management

  • Hospitality

  • Show Finance

  • Show Production

  • Social Media / Content Creation

  • Sponsorship

  • Talent Booking

  • Ticketing

Eligible students should be currently enrolled in an Atlanta area HBCU and be able to work locally in Atlanta:

Clark Atlanta University

Morehouse College

Morris Brown College

Spelman College

SCHEDULE:

  • February and March 2026 - 3 Virtual 1 Hr. Trainings

  • March 19, 2026 - In Person Training, onsite Atlanta

  • March 20 - 26, 2026 - Potential Dates of Paid Educational Experience as part of the HBCU AwareFest Production Team, onsite Atlanta (EXACT DATES TBD)
